A Message From The CISPA Executive Chair

Dear Parents,

On behalf of the board of CISPA, the school’s parent association, I hope you and your families have all settled well into the new school year.

We are very excited about the upcoming year, the school’s and CISPA’s 25th year. We can all feel the positive energy and enthusiasm within the school.

The current CISPA board members represent more than 10 countries (counting double nationalities…) and speak more than 10 languages (not counting Canadian as a separate language…) We have very diverse backgrounds, from chemistry to mathematics, media, marketing, music, law, and business. More importantly, we are all very passionate about the school and we like to have fun!

Please consider joining the CISPA board. There are currently 12 of us on the board and we have three open seats that we would like to fill through election. You will find more information about the election process in the Flash, here on our website and on the CISPA Pinboard.

This year, our top priority is to help rebuild our wonderful community. We now need to turn the page and restore trust amongst the different stakeholders.   Restoring trust does not happen overnight and will require open communication. In this respect, we want to ensure that if and when issues arise, they can be resolved with constructive and respectful dialogue within the school community.

Lastly, we have been busy organizing great activities over the last few weeks, some of which have included welcoming new parents during Open House and Bootcamp, the famous CISPA hikes around Hong Kong, and the Staff Appreciation fruit bar. We have more in the pipeline, including the Family Fun Fair on Sunday, November 27th and the Chinese New Year Flower Fair on January 24th. Mark your calendars!

There are lots of opportunities to volunteer and get involved within the school community. We hope to meet you all soon.

Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.

Best regards
