“Playing From The Heart” tells the true story of Evelyn Glennie, a young Scottish girl who dreams of becoming a professional percussionist despite suffering a hearing loss, and in spite of those who try to convince her that her dream is not possible. Evelyn’s story is told to the audience in a series of dream-like memories; written poetically by playwright Charles Way, and reimagined aesthetically as a beautifully rhythmic succession of visual images by director Suzanne Sauer and the ensemble cast of the production. Will Evelyn realise her dream, or will her story end in tears? Go see the show to find out!
